Dear Parents and Guardians

Welcome to my third newsletter from the Senior School which will round off our second term, I can’t believe how quickly this academic year is going.

Recent events

I was very pleased at the response to the parent’s presentation we had on the Year 9/10 options for next year. We had over 65% of parents attending which was excellent to see considering it is not always easy to get busy parents into school for meetings.

Letters have also gone out recently for the Year 10/11 options and for current year 11 pupils to make their choices for next year. If you have any questions about these choices please do not hesitate to contact us.

Important dates

As parents you should by now be aware of the dates for any external exams that involve your children please check with them the dates for the IGCSE and A level examinations and help us to make sure your children are as prepared as possible for these important exams.

Sports Results

Once again our sports teams have enjoyed some great results over the last few weeks including :-

CISSA U15 Boys Athletics Championships – WINNERS

CISSA U19 Girls Football Championships – WINNERS

CISSA U16 Girls Football Championships – WINNERS

CISSA U16 Boys Volleyball Championships – WINNERS

CISSA U19 Boys Basketball Championships – WINNERS

Nile University U19 Football Championships – WINNERS

CISSA U16 Boys Basketball Championships – 2nd

CISSA U14 Boys Football Championships – 2nd

CISSA U14 Girls Football Championships – 2nd

As you know I am a great believer in the value of participating in sports so it is great to see both our boy’s and girl’s teams doing so well.

Working together

I have noticed a significant improvement in our uniform standards please help us to maintain the highest possible standards in personal presentation by checking that your son or daughter leaves the house in the correct uniform.

Finally can I take this opportunity of wishing you all a peaceful and enjoyable holiday period and I look forward to welcoming you back to term two which begins on Wednesday April 19th.

Many thanks for your continued support

Kind regards

Derek Jones

Sports Events

I am a very strong believer in the value of an active lifestyle and I have always supported my school sports teams. This term I have been delighted to watch our boys and girls teams playing football; basketball; volleyball and most recently taking part in a swimming competition.
