What are the ECAs?
The BSE ECAs aim to provide opportunities to enrich your child’s experiences through motivation, independence excellence and enjoyment while developing their social and team working skills enabling them to develop a hobby.
ECAs give teachers and pupils the opportunity to develop a closer relationship with one another while they are carrying out a similar or common interest in the ECA club. This ultimately has a positive impact on the teacher – pupil relationship in the classroom and in school.
There is one Extra Curricular Activity day that your child will be attending. ECAs are compulsory activities.
ECAs will be taking place on Wednesdays, your child will attend two clubs:
- Club 1 from: 3:10 to 3:40
- Club 2 from: 3:50 to 4:30
If your child has been selected for a gifted and talented programme on Wednesday. They will be attending this programme. Otherwise they will attend ECAs
Please be aware that your child may not get their first choice as there is usually a high demand for certain clubs and remember that your child will get the opportunity to change their ECAs next term.
Please see the attached ECA table which displays the activities we are offering. After your child has chosen their activities please fill in the ECA slip and return to school by
By sending this slip in on time this will enable us to enrol your child in the clubs they have chosen.
